@jetunall That’s something I’ve thought about as well! Before the class started, I’d given little thought to the meaning of ‘content,’ and this class has helped me to learn what content is and how I interact with it in my everyday life. #engl318mu

@vivfeliciani I’m an education major as well, and I feel like it’s especially important for us to consider our audience. We have to write to our bosses, colleagues, parents, and students, but they’re all quite different audiences! It really affects how we write. #engl318mu

@vivfeliciani I found this to be a very helpful part of the class. Between getting peer feedback and specific feedback on the assignments, I felt like I was turning in quality assignments I was proud to submit! #engl318mu

@goluckyducky Same here! I’ve never thought a lot about all of the things that need to be taken into consideration when running a social media account. Definitely something I’ll think about in the future when looking at creator’s accounts! #engl318mu

Many of the concepts I learned in this class will help me in the future. I will keep the four key concepts in mind when I create different kinds of content in the future. This can apply to newsletters, emails, communication with colleagues, social media, and more. #engl318mu

Before this class I was so used to essays, and writing in different formats was new and uncomfortable for me. Writing on Twitter and working on our different projects taught me that I can still convey the same/similar information, but in unique ways. #engl318mu

This class helped me to understand the key concepts by forcing me out of my comfort zone. I’m used to essays, and this class pushed me to present information in an alternative way while considering user experience, information architecture, audience, and purpose. #engl318mu

Based on this class, I have realized how content is such a broad term- it is any idea that can be communicated through different means. Content can be any form of writing: books, academic papers, websites, social media, texts/emails, videos, and more. #engl318mu

Before this class, I didn’t think much about what content was. I mostly considered content to be things written in books or academic papers. I never considered how it translates to all the forms of writing we do every day. #engl318mu

In my How to Write Guide, I wanted an attention-grabbing title. It reminds me of an article title someone could click on. I’m not sure if there’s anything I should add to it, or if I should add image(s) to the title slide. Does anyone have thoughts on the title? #engl318mu

@vivfeliciani I’m planning to change the format of mine a bit, but I collected data from each account that I follow over the past two weeks. I looked at how often they posted, how many likes/comments they got, how many followers they have, etc. Then I’m planning to graph it! #engl318mu

@buonopane_m I like this format a lot! The main page looks minimalist, but once you select a topic, you get more information. I think it looks really nice! #engl318mu

@goluckyducky I know it could look bulky, but maybe include their caption in the picture so the audience can judge whether it educates or not. Or you could quote what is in the caption on your slide. #engl318mu
