Quite unbelievable dishonesty from Sunak and the Tories yesterday - on a par with Johnson at his worst. They just claimed to have stopped a tax on meat and dairy - and flying, prevented us all being forced to car share and use seven diff bins for recycling. None of this existed. I’ve just seen a Tory e-mail listing these fictional things Sunak just saved us all from. Incredible.

In 2010 (when 'Building Schools for the Future' was axed) the government's total expenditure on the school estate was £4.6bn (nearly £7bn at todays prices)

In 2022/23 - the government's total expenditure on the school estate was £2.6bn

Calculated neglect.
