Almost finished with Grading for Equity by @JoeCFeldman. I love it and implement many (though admittedly not all of these ideas). One question that eludes me is what to do when the state competencies (CTE here) are behaviors. Portfolios?
@cultofpedagogy 4-5 is optimal, but teacher oversight is important too. A teacher needs to be able to pop-in and check on groups frequently. If they create too many groups, it’s tough to check-in often enough.
@cultofpedagogy You can record on Zoom, but you need to be mindful of if/how/where you share the Zoom. Definitely only share to venues not accessible to the public. Student permission would be advisable to prevent embarrassment. Finally, I would check with your school division.
@cultofpedagogy Schoology is our one-stop shop for kids in grades 6-12. I believe elementary schools are using Seesaw. Teachers are to post work, announcements, updates on Schoology for the week by 10AM and refrain from sending emails as is overwhelming to many families.
