I respect it. Say what you want about the price but at least it was an honest business. Could have made a shit coin or some other scam like countless of his peers but decided to build something real instead.

@NatesManagement In my mind Roblox lite would have limited UGC and game library but would still be monetized like normal Roblox. No social features except maybe connections so irl friends can play together

Roblox parental controls offer great protection but ugc will always enable some bad actors

@FracturedOreo @DelusRblx Perhaps kids shouldn't be allowed on UGC platforms like Roblox. Roblox faces the same issues as any other major social media platform and some countries are already enforcing major restrictions. We could be few major regulations away from something like Roblox lite for kids

@FracturedOreo @DelusRblx yeah that's what I touched on my previous reply; disabling chat from kids is completely reasonable. While I understand why Roblox added disabling chat as an optional feature in their parental controls settings, they might want to reconsider and just disable it completely.

@FracturedOreo @DelusRblx It is parents job to set the boundaries, and that's what parental controls are for. But I don't think disabling chat options for kids is a bad idea considering how easily parents fold

I hope Roblox improves their moderation/reporting system so bad stuff gets filtered and horrible people get banned. This stuff is worth investing into!

I also hope parents stop delegating their responsibilities to tech companies. Check on your kid or take the damn phone away lol

Some good updates, genuinely, but holy shit Roblox is out of touch with their community.

I would be surprised if this whole situation has any meaningful impact on their business unless they get hit by new regulation or restrictions. Those are some real concerns for them from what I've seen on my timeline.
