Consider these words from 1920, written by French author Hilaire Belloc:
âThe modern world imagines that it has outgrown religion. It has done nothing of the kind. It has merely forgotten it. And because it has forgotten it, it no longer understands itself. Men do not realize that the whole framework of their moral judgments, their political habits, and even their intellectual methods were formed within a Christian society and cannot exist long outside it. When that framework breaks, they will not find themselves enlightened, but bewildered; not free, but enslaved; not rational, but confused.â

The KJV: Not an Accident of History
Introduction
The King James Bible was not an accident of history. It was not a lucky publishing event, a random royal project, a political curiosity, or a dusty relic from a forgotten age. It came at the convergence point of timing, language, empire, printing, scholarship, persecution, and missionary expansion. That is providence. God does not need luck. God does not stumble into history hoping men will do something useful with His words. The God who numbers the hairs of your head, calls the stars by name, raises up kings, removes kings, opens doors, shuts doors, and declares the end from the beginning is not sitting in heaven wringing His hands over whether His words can survive. âFor ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heavenâ (Psalm 119:89). If the word is settled in heaven, then God is perfectly able to settle it on earth for the people He intends to reach.
Critics look at 1611 and see only men, politics, committees, old English, and historical circumstances. Bible believers look at the same moment and see the hand of God moving through those circumstances. That is the difference between unbelieving history and believing history. Pharaoh saw a Hebrew baby in a basket. God saw Moses. Jesse saw a shepherd boy. God saw a king. Rome saw a crucified Jew. God saw the Lamb slain for sinners, raised again the third day, seated at His right hand. Men saw translators, printers, manuscripts, controversies, crowns, councils, languages, and nations. God saw the English Bible coming to settlement at the exact moment the English tongue would be prepared, the printing press would be ready, the empire would expand, the missionaries would travel, the churches would preach, and the common man would need one Book he could trust.
This essay is not arguing that God had no Bible before 1611. That is the childish objection critics keep dragging out because they cannot handle the real argument. God had His words before 1611. God preserved His words before 1611. The English Bible stream existed before 1611. But the King James Bible marks the providential settling of that stream for the English-speaking world. It stands at the place where Godâs timing, English language, Reformation conflict, printing technology, scholarly ability, persecution, and worldwide gospel expansion converged. The KJV is not an accident of history. It is a monument of providence.
Chapter 1: The Timing Was Not an Accident
Godâs timing is never accidental. âTo every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavenâ (Ecclesiastes 3:1). The King James Bible came at a season when the English Bible stream had already passed through labor, blood, controversy, refinement, and public testing. Wycliffe had borne witness. Tyndale had given his life. Coverdale had labored. Matthewâs Bible had contributed. The Great Bible had entered public life. Geneva had gone into homes. Bishopsâ had served in official church use. By 1611, the English Bible did not appear out of nowhere. It came after God had prepared the road.
That is providence. God allowed the English Bible to pass through earlier stages, not because He was confused, but because He was working. A seed does not become a fruit-bearing tree in one afternoon. A sword does not go from raw metal to finished blade without heat, hammer, shaping, and sharpening. The English Bible stream developed through men, texts, persecution, printing, correction, comparison, and public reception until the time was right for settlement. The Authorized Version did not erase the work before it. It gathered it, refined it, and stood above it.

đ¨Nothing wrong with being a Christian Nationalist.âď¸
Our country was founded by people who would be labeled âChristian Nationalistsâ today â Pilgrims, Puritans, and Founding Fathers who openly built this nation on biblical principles.
The Bible shaped Americaâs core values from the very beginning:
⢠âAll men are created equalâ and endowed with rights by their Creator (Declaration of Independence) came straight from the biblical truth that every human is made in Godâs image (Genesis 1:27).
⢠Our legal system drew heavily from the Ten Commandments â âThou shalt not murder,â âThou shalt not steal,â âThou shalt not bear false witness.â These became the moral bedrock of law and order.
⢠Charity and loving your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:31) inspired hospitals, orphanages, universities (Harvard, Yale, Princeton all started as Christian institutions), and a culture of voluntary generosity unmatched anywhere else.
⢠The nuclear family â faithfulness to your spouse, raising children in the fear of the Lord â was seen as the foundation of a stable society.
⢠Work ethic, honesty, personal responsibility, and the idea of covenant with God fueled the Protestant work ethic that turned a wilderness into the greatest nation in history.
The Founders quoted the Bible more than any other source. They believed a free republic could only survive with a moral, self-governing people rooted in Christian truth.
Whatâs wrong with wanting a government built on:
⢠The love and teachings of Jesus Christ
⢠Law and order
⢠Charity and loving your neighbor
⢠Faithfulness to your spouse
⢠Honoring life (no murder) and property (no stealing)
Thatâs not extremism. Thatâs the moral foundation that made America exceptional.
We donât need to apologize for wanting a nation that reflects the values of its founders and the Bible that guided them.
Share if you agree. đşđ¸

THE QURAN: OF GOD OR OF MAN?
Muslims insist the Quran is the eternal, uncreated speech of allah, inscribed on a heavenly tablet and delivered verbatim through the angel Gabriel to Muhammad over twenty-three years. They treat it as the final, flawless miracle that confirms and corrects all previous scriptures. Yet when measured against the clear standards Jehovah God has given in His inspired Word, this claim collapses entirely. The Quran bears unmistakable fingerprints of 7th-century human originâshaped by Arabian culture, personal circumstances, borrowed legends, and political necessitiesârather than the consistent, progressive, miracle-attested revelation of the one true God.
Jehovahâs authentic revelation is never self-referential or unverified. Moses performed public signs and wonders before all Israel; the Red Sea parted, Mount Sinai thundered, and the people saw Jehovahâs power with their own eyes. Jesus Christ fulfilled hundreds of specific prophecies, healed the sick, raised the dead, and rose bodily from the grave in the presence of eyewitnesses. Deuteronomy 18:20-22 demands that every prophet be tested by accurate prediction and divine confirmation. The apostles pointed to these verifiable events as proof that their message came from God. The Quran offers none of this. It simply declares itself the miracle and demands belief, with no external signs to authenticate Muhammadâs prophethood.
Even more damning, the Quran claims to confirm the Torah and the Gospel that existed in the 7th centuryâyet it directly contradicts them on the most central matters. It denies the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, asserting that someone else was made to look like Him and that He was not killed or crucified. This flatly opposes the eyewitness testimony of the apostles, the prophecies of Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53, and the historical record preserved in the Gospels. Jehovah does not contradict Himself. If the Bible was corrupted as some Muslims allege, the Quran itself commands the People of the Book to judge by their own scripturesâscriptures that were already widely copied and distributed centuries before Muhammad. The thousands of surviving biblical manuscripts demonstrate 99.99 percent textual accuracy to the originals. The Quranâs accusation of corruption is therefore a convenient after-the-fact excuse, not historical fact.
The Quran also fails the test of the promised Prophet like Moses. Deuteronomy 18:15-19 foretold a prophet from among the Israelite brethren who would speak Godâs words with signs and wonders. The apostle Peter identified this figure as Jesus Christ, the mediator of the New Covenant who performed mighty works and rose from the dead. Muhammad, an Arab living six hundred years later with no Israelite lineage, no public miracles, and no fulfillment of covenant mediation, does not match the prophecy. Likewise, Jesusâ promise of the Paracleteâthe Holy Spiritâin John 14â16 was fulfilled at Pentecost in Jerusalem, not in 7th-century Arabia. The Spirit came to convict the world of sin, testify of Christ, and guide the apostles into all truth within days of the promise, exactly as Jesus said.
Further exposing its human character, the Quran openly practices abrogation: later verses cancel or replace earlier ones. Peaceful Meccan passages are superseded by Medinan commands authorizing jihad, jizya tax on non-Muslims, and military conquest. This mechanism admits the text required internal correction based on changing circumstances. Jehovahâs Word needs no such editing. Scripture unfolds one coherent plan of redemption from Genesis to Revelation without self-cancellation. Jesus declared, âScripture cannot be brokenâ (John 10:35). A perfect revelation does not revise itself.
The very process of the Quranâs compilation reveals human hands at work. Muhammad recited piecemeal for immediate needsâaddressing battles, family disputes, and personal scandals. After his death in 632 C.E., many reciters were killed in battle. Under Caliph Uthman, a single consonantal text was standardized around 650 C.E., official copies were sent to major cities, and all variant versions were ordered burned. Early Islamic sources themselves admit that respected companions of Muhammad possessed differing codices with different wording and surah order. Today, multiple sanctioned âreadingsâ (qirÄĘžÄt) still exist with variations in vowels, consonants, and meaning. In stark contrast, Jehovah preserved His Word through faithful transmission across centuries and continents, producing abundant manuscripts that testify to extraordinary accuracy without any caliphâs decree suppressing rivals.
Even the content bears clear marks of human borrowing. The Quran retells biblical stories with details drawn from Jewish midrash, Talmudic legends, and Christian apocryphal gospelsâsuch as the infant Jesus speaking from the cradle or fashioning clay birds that come to life. These elements are absent from the inspired Scriptures but common in extra-biblical folklore circulating in Arabia. Many Islamic ritualsâthe Hajj, the Kaaba, Ramadan fasting, ritual ablutions, and the direction of prayerâmirror pre-Islamic Arabian customs rather than transcending them as true divine revelation does. Surahs conveniently address Muhammadâs personal crises: cursing his uncle Abu Lahab, clearing his wife Aisha of slander, permitting marriage to his adopted sonâs wife Zaynab, and resolving disputes over concubines or war spoils. Jehovahâs Word sets timeless moral and spiritual principles for all humanity; it is not tailored to one manâs immediate domestic or military needs.
The Quranâs appeal to Arabic as the perfect language for Arabs further underscores its limited, localized origin. Genuine divine revelation moves outwardâfrom Hebrew to Greekâto reach all nations. The New Covenant in Christ fulfills the Law, replacing shadows with heart-level obedience and global salvation through faith, not ritual regression to washings, dietary rules, and sanctuary practices.
In the end, the Quran diminishes Jesus Christ to a mere prophet, denies His deity, His atoning death, and His resurrectionâthe very heart of Jehovahâs plan of redemption. It cannot be from the same God who spoke through the prophets and fulfilled every promise in His Son. The evidence is overwhelming: the Quran is a 7th-century human document, shaped by its time, place, and authorâs circumstances. It bears the marks of compilation, abrogation, textual standardization by political decree, borrowed legends, and doctrinal contradiction with the inspired, inerrant, infallible Scriptures that Jehovah has preserved for us.
True guidance and eternal life come only through the unchanging Word of Godâthe Old and New Testamentsâthat point us to Jesus Christ, the risen Savior. Examine the evidence honestly before Jehovah. Test every prophet by His standards. Reject what contradicts His completed revelation. Bow before the Lord Jesus, receive forgiveness through His blood, and walk in the light of the genuine Gospel that alone leads to salvation.
Beware the empathy exploit.
Empathy is good and right when thought through (deep), but can be deadly to civilization when simply stimulus-response (shallow).
For example, releasing a repeat violent offender may feel good at first (shallow empathy for the criminal), but it is wrong to do so when that person will go on to hurt or murder innocent victims, as there should be deep empathy for future victims.
