A coalition of organizations across Ontario fighting to close the gender pay gap for women and gender diverse people since 1976. #EqualPayDay#ShowUpForWomen
A big thank you @EqualPayON for the invitation to moderate this historic debate on #EqualPayDay & everyone who asked questions & tuned in. I was born in a country where politicians were inaccessible & feel immense privilege to live in a country where we can question our leaders.
If you missed Ontario’s first ever leaders’ debate on women’s economic equality organized by our allies @EqualPayON, you can watch it on their Facebook page, below. ⬇️
It’s great viewing! 👍🏾
Let’s face it - it’s 2022 but gender wage gap exists and women with intersectional identities are predominantly in precarious labour in disproportionately large numbers!
Thank you @EqualPayON for a historic constructive dialogue, esp. closing in with GBA+ lense to all policies!
Rich discourse at @EqualPayON Leaders Debate. Unfortunate that Premier @fordnation could not attend due a scheduling conflict.
Very curious: what is more important than discussing the economic conditions of half of Ontario's population? #onpoli

Today marks #EqualPayDay in Canada. Please remember that, in much of the statistics you read today, the "white" is silent when you read women. Black, Indigenous & women of colour have to work harder and longer to make the same as white people. Economic justice is racial justice.
No better way to spend #EqualPayDay Excited & slightly nauseous from nerves, about tonight’s debate. I see a lot of great questions in comments but the women on the frontlines will be asking the questions. The premier was invited but we were told he had a scheduling conflict.
