@quevega @LadyNanBullen @JohnWathenBerry@Meg_nicholls11 Regardless of 7'7 or 9'7
Jockey A is licenced to do 7'7 and jockey B is not.
They can flip or sweat or cut their arms off but they still can't ride below the weight the Doctor issued them at start the start of the year.
@kevinblake2011@AtTheRaces They need to take the responsibility off the jockey particularly apprentice
They feel obligated to please the trainer owner the etc
Also want the ride and want the winner particularly big prizemoney
This rule takes all that pressure off as he is simply not allowed to ride
@Minnie1602@deniscoakley11 370 meetings ?
Saturdays
Sundays
Bank holidays
Travel allowance meals
Overnight accommodation
Prsi
Holiday money etc
100k yr x 10yrs = 1Million
Chance of it happening again in the next 10yrs is ZERO
@Minnie1602@deniscoakley11 I'm just thinking it's such an unusual event that may never happen again in our lifetime it's not worth spending millions on
JH mistake
She has to live with it
Disappointed owners a fine etc
What HRI need to do is make sure the punters dont lose if it does ever happen again
@deniscoakley11@Minnie1602 I cant get my head around that Denis
The horse you back didn't run and it's not a non runner
That to me is a bigger problem than the fact that the wrong horse ran
@Minnie1602@deniscoakley11 You are counting on covering every angle so absolutely nothing can go wrong even a once in 50 year event
So let's have an air ambulance at every race meeting
And while we're at it have an operating theater and a surgeon present
Just in case
@Minnie1602@deniscoakley11 Guarantee??
So you suggest maybe 2 people at every meeting just in case this happens again in 2056?
The only problem here is the punters who lost money
That can be rectified by a rule change
After that the only ones affected are the connections of both horses
@deniscoakley11@Minnie1602 I agree with you 100%
According to some people on here no human should ever make a mistake
JH will prob get a big fine
Biggest problem here is it not being declared a non runner and bets refunded
@deniscoakley11@Minnie1602 Yes
The horses are checked on arrival
The correct 2 horses arrived at Galway
The wrong one was brought up for the race
Scanned after winning and immediately identified as wrong
So the big flaw is not checking the correct horse enters the parade ring
@MoonmanMUFC@ihrb_ie I think it's crazy
You back horse A
Horse A didn't run
Horse A is a non runner
What horse actually ran and who's fault it was is completely irrelevant.
This is nuts
If the horse you backed didn't run then it's a non runner end of story
@ihrb_ie announced Aliverine is disqualified when Aliverine did not run
@MoonmanMUFC@ihrb_ie That not my point there will be an enquiry and a punishment
That human mistake is avoidable
But it happened
The fact is if you back Aliverine SHE didn't run and you bet should be voided
