Today I’m at the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) Conference and Annual General Meeting.

I’m looking forward to listening to some really insightful speakers and networking with industry connections and peers.

I had a good couple of days at Your Horse Live this weekend; shopping on Friday and helping out on the Cavaletti Collection stand yesterday.
It was great to see both clients and friends there enjoying themselves, and help fill with their saddle selection.

Yesterday I took a trip across the M62 to hang out with the Crewe Crew to have a play with the new Acavello saddles.

Adjustable and lightweight I’m hoping to get some demo stock in the new year so shout up if you’re interested in trying them.

I’ve just had a great couple of days with British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) at their new Bit, Bridle and Saddle conference.
Events like this are always a great way to catch up with friends and for also making new friends and colleagues within the industry.

My instructor said it was the change he needed. I can’t express how good he felt in our lesson.
I do love when I have happy clients and others within their circles can see the difference.

All set up in my office for a morning of Continuing Professional Development with The Society of Master Saddlers and Hartpury where I’m looking forward to the agenda which is focusing on research.
Obviously all overseen by Captain Teddy my office manager and adorable distraction!

This weekend I have stripped back two saddles to check the trees and replaced a pair of girth straps.
One tree was broken as we suspected, and also has a rivet head missing. Have a listen on the video and you can clearly hear it. It’s not a good squeak!

This weekend I have the privilege of helping the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) on their stand at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
The best bit has been getting to watch my client Disco in his Cleveland Bay class yesterday coming second to the King’s horse.

Zara and her young rider are fondly referred to as a pair of racing snakes! She’s a narrow, sporty Welsh pony and he’s a lovely but leggy lad that’s sprouting like a weed!
It’s all worth it to hear they came home from camp with two first place frillies!

Never one to let a short notice cancellation get in the way of being productive, I spent a lovely couple of hours in Dainty Doris sipping tea and enjoying a delicious slice of Victoria Sandwich whilst catching up on messages and updating bookings.

I’m often given saddles that are too old, broken or ill fitting for disposal.

Recently @HumbersideFire put out a shout for saddles for practicing large animal rescues. So last week I dropped a couple off to them.
