Ss appreciated opportunities from UOIT @ot_outreach using Bloxels and Scratch as they expand their knowledge and familiarity with block coding & coding language. “I can do anything on this site,” whispered a student! Rm 206 is thankful for free virtualtrips! @DDSBInnovation
Today is World Autism Day!
Let’s use this opportunity to educate ourselves and to work towards a system that celebrates Autism and the richness that Neurodiversity brings to society.

This week we wanted to celebrate coding month! Today we engaged in various forms of STEM in the library. S excitement and creativity were heard and demonstrated. We are excited to join with other classes tomorrow to share & gain knowledge @elsie_macgill@DDSBInnovation@PlayOsmo
On a snowy indoor afternoon, Ss demonstrated their knowledge of line plots when observing @CornellBirdCams . It’s often a go-to live cam during morning entry or silent reading during our weeks. Ss are becoming very skilled at common bird identifications! @elsie_macgill
Ss need to vocalize and express experiences, it’s OK to simply have a partner share with no expectations! We used rock-paper-scissor partner share, valuing each story. Ss then individually expressed in written form using book creator! @BookCreatorApp@elsie_macgill
