Placing students at the center of the dialogue - awesome setup with @Equitymaps ! The teacher can play back the small group conversations after as well, allowing them “to be” at all tables at once, 🤩 Txs for sharing @Mr_Beltran_NMS
Students at @novi_ms using @EquityMaps for Graded Discussions evaluating the motives, methods, and outcomes of change in Antebellum America. Thanks to @NMSlibrary for letting us take over the MC! #NoviPride

@WestMS_Warriors seventh-graders led a Socratic Seminar to discuss why we know more about Egypt than the Kingdom of Kush. Using the @EquityMaps app, students charted the flow of conversation to see the importance of inclusive dialogue that includes each participant. #RCSpride

Powerful, meaningful discussion happening in room 215. Some of the realities they shared today broke my heart. We are on a journey to discover our identity and to find our voice. 🩷#cmsd@CLEMetroSchools@OrchardSTEM#7thgrade

@jenni_copeland I recommend starting with the yellow open seating… you can place the students as you want. Once you enter the names for your class, you can import the same list from a existing group, so makes it much easier to set up. NJOY!
First Socratic Seminar of the year in Human Geo. Discussing the positives and negatives of GPS apps like Life360 and Snapchat Maps.
Excellent effort from these 9th grade students in their first attempt!
Can’t wait to see the improvements in Unit 2!
