🚨🗣️ Asamoah Gyan: "Benjamin Asare (Ghana's goalkeeper) is very composed. Wherever he is, you can see the ball comes there."
"He kept Ghana alive so many times in the qualifiers."
He comes from poverty
He was a bus conductor

Today, Benjamin Asare saves Ghana a point against England and we are into the round of 32 at the World Cup! #SM4Lyf! GOD IS HERE!
Massive respect for Ghana.
I don't think anyone expected much from them in this tournament. They were one of the lowest-ranked teams at the World Cup, yet they still managed to get 4 points, including forcing England and all their stars into a draw.
Sure, they played what you call "haram football", but considering the gap in quality, what else can you realistically expect from them?
Defending deep and trying to grind out a result was always their best chance, and they executed it brilliantly. An absolutely monstrous defensive performance.
