I’m officially posting my retirement from the competitive marathon scene. I know this hits hard for most, especially those who rely on me for their marathon lore breakdowns and competitive high stakes gameplay. My temporary retirement will commence today and end October 6th.
We’re making a change to address cases where shots against Spectre Shielded players could appear to not register after the shield broke. When the Nightfall Refresh goes live tomorrow, if a player using a Spectre Shield keeps firing after becoming invisible, their invisibility will now flicker after 0.2 seconds instead of 0.9 seconds. This restores aim assist against them sooner during a fight, while preserving the shield’s intended ability to help them reposition and escape when they stop engaging.
We’ve also made changes so gunfire is more reliable against invisible players. In practice, that means fewer moments where you’re aiming at a Spectre Shielded player, but your shots appear to miss while they’re invisible.
Full details arriving in tomorrow's patch notes!

Look man all I'm saying is, they're bringing back all the old DLCs soon. So 20 bucks for most likley the greatest game you'll ever play, an absolute once in a lifetime experience. You should definitely get this. It's more than worth it.
@Greenpig117 -as the biggest problem Halo has had is the delivery of content. I love Infinite, but its launch was so laughably horrid that it never recovered. If a Halo game with the completeness of 3 and the QoL/Innovations of Infinite you have a banger
@Greenpig117 While I can understand the distaste for the 343 lore like making Forerunners not human (They walked this back a bit by making humans and forerunners share a ancestral species but I digress), rebooting the whole series isn’t going to solve the problems the franchise has had-
We have recently issued a large ban wave within Destiny 2 against accounts found to be violating terms of service either by cheating or by using account recovery, ban evasion, or boosting services. We have further investigated appeals to this wave to validate accuracy.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind all players to protect your account. Do not share your account credentials or use account recovery, boosting, or cheat services. This can open your account up to risk, such as being accessed (repeatedly) on hardware actively leveraging cheat tools or services even without your knowledge.
Additionally, we are continuing to investigate and action new cheats as they come online in Destiny 2. We have recently seen cheats spamming unearned rewards and XP on innocent accounts. Accounts leveraging these cheats in malicious ways have already been actioned. We always work to ensure that the cheating accounts are actioned, and innocent players who are not actively seeking these cheats or their benefits are not punished.
If you encounter any accounts that you suspect are cheating, or if your account has been actioned, and you have questions, please see:
