What no one is seeing about this Dangote refinery in Lamu is that the master plan was already in existence. That means there already was some economic feasibility that had been carried out for it. Why not implement that?

Stop annualizing fund returns.
State the actual return and the period it covers only.

@Papa_Ibeji@moneyacademyKE You don't need DEED for ESIA just a conceptual design is enough. Of course FEED and DEED will take about 5% of total construction costs but remember this is a replica of The Lagos refinery that's why cost has dropped from $20B to 17B and duration halved to 5 years

It's official. Al Hajj Aliko Dangote has settled on Kenya and Lamu takes the crown.
The port they mocked as a white elephant is about to become Africa's next energy powerhouse let that sink in.
Your Excellency @WilliamsRuto this is the moment. Right pitching must have also happened. Please don't let bureaucracy strangle what boldness built. Fast-track LAPSET, Fast-track the land, the financing structure, the crude-supply agreements with Uganda, South Sudan and DRC. The world isn't waiting for Africa to move at Africa's pace anymore and neither should we.
For 30 years Lamu's story has been written in tourism brochures and fishing nets that story just got a new chapter energy, industry, jobs, and a supply chain that can serve the whole Eastern African hinterland and beyond.
This is Kenya thinking like a continent , Lamu has the land, Lamu has the port now it needs the will.
@AlikoDangote thank you for choosing Kenya and Lamu . Karibu Al Hajj
As always, I choose to remain an optimist.
