there’s a part of my brain that says “why are you so tired?? you’ve only worked 3 shifts so far” but then I remember those 3 shifts have equaled 40 hours & occurred when I’m normally asleep lol 🫠
@luv4annie Truly absolutely love it here!! Vermont is the best and the hospital is really great. I’m working with great physicians, nurses, staff, and patients. I’m really happy here!
It’s currently 3am on my first shift of residency, & so far tonight we’ve done 3 admissions, I placed my first orders, & wrote 2 h&ps!!
3 hours left, but honestly being Dr. Callahan is turning out to be pretty fun & I feel more qualified than I thought I would
brought my dog over while I dog sat for one of my soon-to-be senior residents this weekend & honestly this was the best way to spend my last weekend before residency orientation ☀️
@AvaniBellary I grew up in Wisconsin & the Madison area is amazing!! You’ll love it :)
but also, nerves are super real. I moved for residency a month ago and I’m loving my new home but it’s still nerve wracking to start over ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
13 hours into my travel day to get back for graduation, 2 more until I’m back on campus… do I recommend moving immediately after finishing rotations? probably not, tbh- but here I am ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Today was my last day of medical school! I have graduation in a month, but I’ve completed all requirements, which feels absolutely surreal.
Next up, moving to Vermont next week & then peds forever ✨🫶🏼
@girl75219 This isn’t my first time doing a cross-country move! I think experiencing new parts of the country pushes me to grow and continue to expand my horizons. I grew up in the Midwest, went to college in the south, med school out west, and next is New England residency!
@brontyman Dr. First is incredible and I feel so fortunate to be able to work with him in this capacity! I have so much to learn from such incredible people, I couldn’t be more excited for the journey ahead
@missmedstudent @fryettesrules Hiiii idk if you are interested but I’m a recently matched OMS4 going into peds, and I love mentoring so I’m here if you have any questions 🫶🏼
I was trying to figure out why I’ve been feeling so off lately, and then I realized it was 70 on Wednesday but today it’s snowing, and next Friday it’s supposed to be 76… I think I just keep forgetting that spring is a mess
