A little old lady on a fixed pension in the sticks opens the mail to a $300 carbon levy for heating her home.

A young man on a subway spots a violent schizophrenic hassling disassociated commuters. There are no police to be found. He wonders if he steps in, will he be shamed? Will he go viral?

A commuting family of four, on a debilitating variable rate mortgage for their 900 sq. foot semi that cost $950,000, wakes up to another car stolen.

A janitor at a Hebrew school scrubs "from the river to the sea" off the front windows for the third time this semester.

Mark Gerretsen hits send on a tweet that totally owns Pierre for using a similar adjective as Donald Trump. His constituents don’t see it, because they’re living real lives. A few of them wait 16 hours in the hospital for supposedly urgent care.

The rest of the Liberals, and many 'Red Tory’s,' continue to respond with the same old 2015 playbook, failing to realize the tipping point has already happened. There’s no going back to luxury beliefs when it’s this bad.

It’s actually broken.

🚨 CANADIANS ARE BREAKING DOWN ON CAMERA

And it’s truly sad that social media is now flooded with regular people falling apart like this.

This guy and his wife pull in six figures. They’re “lower upper class.”

He just left the grocery store and he’s sitting in his truck, emotional:

“How are people making $60k, $70k, even $80k a year fucking surviving in Canada right now?”

He’s struggling to pay for groceries.
$5 broccoli.
Strawberries that rot in three days.
“Something’s gotta change… this isn’t sustainable for anybody.”

These aren’t the “poor.” These are the people who are supposed to be doing okay.

Liberalism did this.

The cost of living crisis they created, the inflation they ignored, the policies that crushed productivity and drove prices through the roof — this is the result.

While they lecture us about “climate” and “equity,” real Canadians are in their cars after grocery shopping, breaking down.

This is what a recession looks like when it hits normal people.

Mom’s 89. Been in Canada for 69 years and has paid every tax, been an upstanding citizen and scrimped and saved to buy a house in Vancouver that, thru none of her own doing has increased insanely in value. She survives on less than $40k annually and pays 25% of that in property taxes. She has been denied Canada Dental Plan, GIS, and every benefit for which new immigrants are eligible. She has no extended health benefits.

Mais, selon eux, il ne s'agit que d'une « récession technique ». Un simple hasard. Tout le reste va pour le mieux.

Regardons donc au-delà du recul de ces deux trimestres consécutifs : le taux de chômage au Canada est désormais le deuxième plus élevé du G7, un tiers de plus qu'aux États-Unis, le pays ayant perdu 112 300 emplois en seulement trois mois, ce qui a laissé 45 800 Canadiens supplémentaires sans emploi depuis que Mark Carney est devenu premier ministre.

L'économie s'est contractée au cours de trois des quatre trimestres du mandat de Mark Carney, un phénomène sans précédent au sein du G7, alors que les investissements des entreprises ont encore chuté de 0,7%, enregistrant une cinquième baisse trimestrielle consécutive, et que plus de 20 milliards de dollars d'investissements nets ont fui le Canada.

Parallèlement, les insolvabilités ont atteint leur plus haut niveau depuis 2009, avec une hausse de près de 19%, 1,5 million de Canadiens ayant manqué des paiements de dettes en seulement trois mois et des défauts de paiement hypothécaires ayant augmenté de 32%.

Les ménages canadiens sont de loin les plus endettés du G7, tandis que le recours aux banques alimentaires continue de grimper en flèche. Un habitant de la région du Grand Toronto sur dix en dépend désormais et le nombre de visites a atteint un record de 4,1 millions l’année dernière, soit une hausse de 340% depuis 2019. À l’échelle nationale, la demande auprès des banques alimentaires a augmenté de 100% en sept ans.

Presque tous ces indicateurs sont pires qu’au moment où Mark Carney a pris ses fonctions et pires que dans n’importe quel autre pays du G7, on ne peut donc pas se contenter de blâmer les événements mondiaux ou les tarifs.

Cessez les excuses, Mark Carney. Assumez-le : il s’agit d’une véritable « récession Carney ».

This includes REJECTED asylum claimants ordered removed and listed as "wanted".
