Paromita & her husband found a new meaning of life with IDRF & ERDS’s help. She had a runaway marriage with a jobless man, against her family’s wishes. In order to survive they took a small loan& started a snacks & tea stall. Today they make a profit of Rs.300-400/day & live well

@IDRF_US supported micro-credit helped Parveen Mondal in starting up a small business of cutting defective tube lights into small pieces which act as raw material in making CFL Lamps. Since 2010, she has taken 3 loans & able to double her household income & employs 3 laborers now

"We were so destitute that my son had to drop out of school & my daughter couldn't go to school", recalls Chayarani with tears in her eyes. With micro-credit from IDRF, she set up a small stationery shop. Her life has changed! Income increased! Daughter getting higher education!
