You know why loving yourself is so hard?
Because all these years growing up, we have been taught it is either selfish to love yourself first or the idea that we need someone to make us feel loved.
Self love is not a linear process. It is not all flowers and affirmations. Some days feel like crap. Let it be. Allow yourself to feel a wide range of emotions without judgement. Be kind to yourself in those moments.
Remind yourself that it won't last forever.
It is so easy to get caught with the desire to be loved, wanted or even liked. But please always know that, the way someone views you or talks about has nothing to do with you and everything to do with their own insecurities.
You don't need to belong to stand out.
I understand you want to reach your dreams and be successful. But you're going through some hard times and you are confused by many things. You have to endure so much.
So let me tell you: Heal first, be really okay physically, mentally and emotionally. Take what you need.
If you're struggling or going through something right now or you might be in some darkness, let me tell you I'm so proud of you, so proud that you're still here and you've fought through all the dark days and are still fighting.
You're not going to be stuck here forever.
We have to realize that our lives could be gone in a moment. There are no guarantees that we will be here at this time next year. Learn to live each day to the fullest. Don't complain. Don't focus on what's wrong.
Be grateful for the opportunity to experience each day.
The best thing you can do for yourself is to work on yourself. Start working on everything that destroys you- your insecurities, fears, dark thoughts, ego.
You will see, in the end you're going to make peace with yourself and that's the greatest thing in the world.
Being calm allows your mind to find solutions. Calmness is also a state of trust. Instead of overthinking and overreacting, you just surrender for that moment and allow yourself to receive guidance for what doesn't make sense.
I think the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy because they know what it's like to feel absolutely worthless and they don't want anyone else to feel like that.
