Ban Bob Vylan? The people said ‘Nah’. We need artists that speak up. Our album ‘Humble As The Sun’ is back in the charts and, as an independent band releasing music on our own label, it shows the power of the people. You can’t get dropped if you own the label.
Thank you all!
Been thinking about the Bob Vylan Glastonbury set, and how much the outrage over it falls in line with patterns of emotional abuse and manipulation.
Abusers always prefer victims to quietly tolerate their heinous, demoralizing treatment without question.
And when their behavior gets called out in a way that's uncouth or "mean," one of their first go-tos is to frame the response as being outta line and unfathomable.
It's a desperation move to deflect from the abusive behavior that initiated the response to begin with.
It's just a crybully tactic, and will not work.
