that’s basically the idea behind Orbit Dock Pro.

Orbit dock pro is a radial app launcher for macOS. Instead of keeping your apps in one fixed dock at the bottom of your screen, Orbit brings them to wherever your cursor already is.

you set a shortcut, trigger it, and a radial dock pops up around your cursor with your apps sitting right there.

pick what you need and keep working.

and it doesn’t just stop there!!

you can create different profiles for different workflows, so the apps you need while working can be completely different from the ones you want when you’re writing, editing or doing something else.

it’s a pretty simple idea when you think about it.

rather than moving your cursor to your apps every time,

your apps come to your cursor.

Orbit Dock Pro is the first release from @doguapps, an independent studio building Mac utilities around simple ideas like this.
