1997: Jim Fassel passed away 5 years ago today at the too young age of 71. When he came to #NYGiants in 1997, he helped re-energize the franchise, winning the NFC East in his 1st season to take Coach of the Year honors. Fassel was 58-53-1 in 7 years & made Super Bowl XXXV. RIP

1988: HBD Jim Burt turns 67. Burt joined #NYGiants as an UDFA out of Miami in 1981 & forced his way into the starting lineup as a NT. He played 8 years for NYG, earning his only Pro Bowl trip in 1986 & scored his only career TD on @PepJ52 sack vs Redskins
