Some thoughts on Dexter Lawrence before I spend the night watching WR Film bro

-The $28.5M number is finally out there and I simply would have paid him that. I would have loved to signed the best player on the team to play for us until he was 33 during Jaxson Dart's rookie contract
-The trade win or lose will be simple to judge. For it to be a win, the player needs to be a top of market player who you keep for 2 contracts or Dexter has to be an actual decline. A Kayvon level player is a loss for me. So go and do it.
-I think the down year has been greatly exaggerated although it has to be acknowledged and it was terrible timing for Dexter to want a new deal with 2 years left. Him wanting a new deal with 3 years left was delusional. I am betting that 2025 was an outlier for him and NYG could have gotten him locked for a non market setting deal but this was all terrible timing
-It was about money, its always about the money
-This was handled by John Harbaugh & Dawn Aponte which leads to the question... what does he even do?
-I'm not exactly sure what I want with picks 5 & 10 but I know I want Caleb Downs as part of it
-On a personal note, very glad this happened now instead of clouding draft night because I love draft night. Now I can get excited for 2 top 10 picks. Dexter Lawrence was an elite player that I think most will respect when time heals some wounds. He's been on the team the entire time I've been doing content and it was a joy to watch you dominate @agentdexy97.

Joe Schoen did everything he could to avoid drafting Jaxson Dart. Then, standing in front of John Mara, he worded every sentence with calculated precision — because he didn’t believe in Dart. If Dart flopped, Schoen had his built-in excuse: “See? That was Daboll’s guy.”

Bottom line: Daboll wanted Jaxson Dart in the top three. The GM only reluctantly allowed a trade back into Round 1 to take him. Everyone mocked the pick. Now the kid looks like a mini-Patrick Mahomes — and somehow, the Giants fire the head coach and keep the GM while giving him the credit. Corniest franchise in sports. Fuck this loser team.

@NFL_Convo Yes he was. He was the main reason Dart got drafted and he was the main reason Dart started as early as he did.. remember HIS decision to play Dart. Absolutely ridiculous decision by this organization.
