I’m in security. I used to cook professionally. I am clearly a masochist because of my career choices. Desperately trying to avoid the perma-underclass.
@KobeissiLetter Chip costs plus what people refuse to acknowledge which is shrinkflation and the strait for shipping. More signal that we are in an insane recession that doesn't consider modern signals of economics to determine we are.
@petergyang@trq212 what tests does he run where in his stack? what signal is he using to constrain his agents or re do work? What are different use cases for different tests he uses? Where is he using static crons with flat logic vs invoking the LLM via a cron?
I live between two poles with AI: godlike leverage and endless rework.
One minute I feel capable of more than ever. The next, everything I’ve made feels obsolete or is broken.
That paradox is the canary in the coal mine that the bubble is going to pop.
@ironirka@businessbarista I'm offering the dialogue to have more than a comment on security and wanting to offer to explain concepts like defense in depth, zero-trust, least privilege which tie to core concepts that go beyond appsec. Why open a full thread then have a thoughtful conversation.
@claudeai Not to be mega bearish, but it took this long to release this? This seems like it could've been GA a while ago. Also, it feels like a late response to
@NousResearch and @steipete. Flattery for certain, a little sad on the timeline for a company that moves the market by sneezing.

@steipete@marcos_placona My favorite is when I get bug bounty reports about GCP infrastructure being publicly exposed for SMB and its a false positive because of global service config. While I am sure there were misconfigs in early days of OC, people love the AI security hype machine of smelling farts.
@KSimback More of the same of what we have. The telling sign will be what happens when the AI bubble collapses after OAI and Anthropic dump on the main street investor. I am a huge proponent of open weight models, but I think this is still a lot of hype.
