There is a LOT of video evidence of a LOT of federal officers committing a LOT of obvious crimes in the past month.
The videos won’t go away.
Folks should remember that — before they break the law for Trump.
Minnesota National Guard was asked why they’re handing out coffee, donuts, and hot chocolate to protesters.
Answer: “It’s a demonstration of safety and security. We’re here to help.”
That’s how you de-escalate.
Not masks. Not threats. Not bullets.
The deadly shooting in Minneapolis today was a straight-up execution of a protester by Trump's federal brownshirts.
The thugs wrestled him to the ground. They pistol-whipped him, then shot him multiple times. They murdered him.
The videos don't lie. A man is dead, killed in cold blood. There is no conceivable justification for this intentional homicide. And make no mistake, that intentional, unjustified homicide was committed on behalf of Donald J. Trump.
Trump's militarization of Minneapolis and other parts of our nation isn't about illegal immigration. It's not about enhancing public safety. It's about destroying any sense of that safety—to intimidate political opponents, and to punish dissent. It's about a corrupt, out-of-control regime's effort to provoke citizens in order to justify the violence it desires to commit against them so that it can expand and retain its power.
That is fascism. It is tyranny. It is governmental criminality.
And the ultimate legal check the Framers of our Constitution provided to stop this kind of tyranny and criminality in the executive branch is impeachment and removal of the executive.
Congress needs to do its job.
Now.
Before it's too late.

Mark welcomed me to Delhi, in 1993, as a neighbor and fellow (though much greener) correspondent. He was truly one of a kind. May his memory be a puja.
Mourning Mark Tully, probably the greatest radio journalist of his generation who took India to the world & who gave the BBC the credibility it once had in India.
Of his many books No Full Stops in India was brilliant in predicting what India would become
RIP
A @nytimes video analysis shows that after agents restrained Alex Jeffrey Pretti & removed his gun from the skirmish, an agent appears to fire 4 shots at Petri.
That agent & another then fire 6 more shots at Pretti while he lies motionless on the ground. https://t.co/ZPGBxgRIpu
Somehow the entire administration is in lockstep lying about how they murdered a citizen and not a single political staffer/appointee has quit their job.
You’d think murder would be at least one persons red line but apparently not. @SusieWiles
Horrible. This is a remarkably irresponsible statement. It is vile to cast such remarkably negative aspersions on a dead man in the absence of evidence. Lawful concealed carry (police have said he had a carry permit) is not evidence of a desire to commit mass murder.
The term “law enforcement” should not be used by media, except perhaps in quotations. It has sadly become an Orwellian term that is used to magically sanctify violence. Language matters. Be specific. Describe individuals with names and ranks. Say exactly what they did. Don’t repeat fascist hocum.
The 2nd amendment is not for hunting, it is not for self protection
It is there to ensure that free people can defend themselves if god forbid government became tyrannical and turned against its citizens
