Calls to UK Domestic Abuse Helplines have more than doubled since the lockdown. Victims should know that if they are in danger, they can dial 999, then press 55 and remain silent. Police will know that the caller is in danger and cannot speak. Spread this wide.

@NickoChampion @C4Dispatches Directly, I’m not sure. It’s hard to know how to help. It’s a horrible horrible problem. Indirectly, I guess we need to consider people living in poverty when we vote next week. I want my vote to help everyone have a better quality of life. That’s fundamental.

This is Britain today, where more than 4 million children are growing up in poverty.
My heart snaps in two watching this. Specialist surgeon whose whole life has been dedicated to the #NHS close to tears over being asked ‘Can I have a white doctor?’ And his response, my God. Hard to believe it’s 2019.
