@jk_rowling I read your Harvard speech regularly years ago. Can you please reread it? The part about imagination and empathy. You seem to understand empathy so well and that's why i can't understand how you're now unable to imagine yourself in trans people's shoes. What happened?
@jk_rowling OMG I've spent my life associating with you and you're really embarrassing me now. Please stop! Just listen to people (the non-bigoted ones) and learn from then. Then correct your mistakes. Please, because it hurts to watch you.
I don't know how people have the time to work full-time. Like, do you not sleep for days? Do you not need therapy or doctors during business hours? Do you not forget to take your medication and then can't walk for two days? How is your life possible? I want to know the secret.
There should be a sponsor a pet program whereby rich people pay the pet bills for a poor person to adopt a pet. Especially for the #mentalillness folk.
So keep your #RUOKDay shit to yourself and write to your MP or something instead. You don't get to feel good for useless "action" taken once a year. Protests, government action, demanding more funding, etc: do that instead. #Mentalhealth#mentalillness
Forget #RUOKDay We are not in this equally. If you're helped by conversation, great. Now turn your attention to those who can't afford medical treatment as they're unemployed because discrimination & can't get adequate centrelink because the system isn't set up for sick people.
#RUOKDay IS designed for everyone except those with an actual #mentalillness Proof? People with mental illnesses either can't afford help or already have help. Asking #RUOK isn't going to help unless all we needed was a chat with an untrained colleague. That is not what we need
EMPLOYERS - don't monitor employees with known mental illness RECEIVING MEDICAL TREATMENT in fear they're "crazy". If need to know re fitness for work, just ask for a med certificate. You're not a doctor, you're an ableist who discriminates. Also, "r u ok" day can bugger off🖕
#SuicidePrevention#StigmaFree I'm doing a mental health month challenge where i have to use those hashtags so there we go. But, also, yes: suicide is awful but we need to talk about it 👍
Sometimes i just sit here and daydream about all the extra time I would have if i didn't have ADHD and tasks were completed quickly. Then i realise I'm procrastinating again. 🙆
I suddenly feel like a really hard-core dare-devil risk-taker type person because I'm a 30yo with a blood clotting disorder who got the Astrazeneca vaccine. I might start hanging out at bikie bars or something idk 🤷♀️😎😈
@Darthspoog It's more like you need is so badly you can't afford to wait until Scotty can get another one for you. Which could be a long while. As a 30 year old with a blood clotting disorder who got the vaccine two weeks ago, I've also been feeling very paranoid today 😨
