Excited to share that @TrinityCollege has been awarded a national @Campus_Compact award for community engagement in Hartford, related to the work of the Center for Hartford Engagement and Research @TrincollCHER, which I direct in partnership with a wonderful team of colleagues.
The award is shared by many people at Trinity that prioritize community connections, and is associated with research and dialogue work that CHER did to set goals for deeper engagements that are mutually beneficial and respectful, and celebrate our amazing home city of Hartford.

One of my favorite class discussion topics: “Self Care as a Selfless Act: Mental Health at the Root of Activism” today. Teaching Community Action 102 “Building Knowledge for Social Change” has been one of the most inportant experiences.
