I'm sorry but I dont think people realize just how ridiculous this is at age 41. He's not in the best car, he has one of the best drivers on the grid as his teammate and has just come off the two worst seasons of his career, where the media was constantly calling for his retirement.
Now he's P2 in the world championship, matching and beating said teammate and looking just like he never left.
Not only does he hold the greatest rookie season in history, but twenty years later he is STILL at the top of his game.
That longevity in of itself is just completely untouchable and I don't think people quite grasp that.
There's rookies and championship leaders on the grid that have never lived in a world in which Lewis wasn't the pinnacle of this sport.
the phrase "lipstick on a pig" has always inspired a deep sadness in me. I think of the pig, looking forward to her big night out, and I bring myself to the verge of tears.
High intelligence often comes with heightened pattern recognition. You start noticing social masks, forced conversations, performative friendships, hidden motives, emotional immaturity, and energy that feels draining instead of nourishing. Many highly intelligent people also have more active nervous systems, deeper inner worlds, and lower tolerance for superficial stimulation, so solitude can feel safer than constantly shrinking themselves to fit environments that don't feel aligned.
The neurodivergent ick when you realize mid-convo that correcting them is pointless because they'd need self-awareness and emotional intelligence to even process that they're wrong.
i think the purest form of love is just wanting someone to notice life with you. "taste this. look at that. hear this song." again and again. until you can't imagine noticing life without them.
High-empathy individuals with strategic detachment can predict human behavior without bias. And the empath who doesn’t care anymore is the most dangerous person in the room.
i recently saw a girl on tiktok who said “accountability is so important to me. nobody's perfect, but don't try to flip the script and make my reaction the issue when your actions lit the match” i felt this to the core.
@be_like_ice authority figures can’t stand me, and i can’t stand them, i call out power imbalances even if it’s uncalled for, i make it my mission to make those who make me uncomfortable, uncomfortable.
