idk who needs to hear this today but most of y’all are misusing the word “boundary” & often purposely leveraging it’s position as ~therapy speak~ to act as if your REQUESTS trump someone else’s autonomy. (thread)
& again, to reiterate and speak on another hot button therapy word, it’s NOT “abuse” to simply go against a partner’s boundary! You have to accept the consequences of it, sure, but that’s not you abusing them just by doing something they didn’t want you to do!
