HONTIVEROS: SUNTAY MUST APOLOGIZE

Sen. Risa Hontiveros on Wednesday, March 4, urged Quezon City Rep. Bong Suntay to apologize and make amends to actress Anne Curtis over his controversial remarks.

“There is absolutely no excuse for his repulsive remarks,” Hontiveros said, warning that under the Bawal Bastos Law, which she authored, sexual comments and suggestions are punishable. “As a lawmaker, he should know this—and uphold it.”

As Women’s Month begins, she added: “Huwag nating hayaang maging normal ang kabastusan. Patuloy tayong manindigan para sa kababaihan.”
