The sooner you start encouraging yourself, declaring what God says about you, the better off you’ll be.

You can’t run from every uncomfortable thing. You can’t ignore issues thinking they’ll go away. When you get honest with yourself, when you confront what you know you need to deal with, God gives you the grace and the strength to do what you can’t do on your own.

When we’re uncomfortable, it seems our prayers are not being answered; those are opportunities to show God that we’re ready to go higher, to go to the next level with Him. There are times of testing, times of proving.

You have to be sensitive to what you’re feeling on the inside. Listen to what God is saying to you, that still small voice. That’s not random. It’s not just your idea. That’s God leading you into your place of blessing.

When you’re outnumbered, outsized, out-educated, and out-trained, don’t be surprised if people discount you. What they can’t see is what God put in you. He will take you where you can’t go on your own. When you defy the odds, everyone will know His favor is on your life.

The enemy would love to distort your identity to keep you from recognizing who you really are. Even though you’re a masterpiece, made in God’s image, you’ll start living like you’re unworthy, not valuable, nothing to offer. Delete the strongholds that contradict who God says you are.

It’s amazing what happens when we get rid of the wrong identity. You can be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Start dwelling on what God says about you. Not the limited, can’t do it, not worthy thoughts, but the strong, talented, well-able thoughts.

There may be negative things that have been in your family line for a long time. They seem normal to you. That will continue to get passed down until someone rises up. Someone has to recognize, “This is not who we are. It’s a mistaken identity.” You can be the one to break the negative cycle.

God said in Isaiah, “Even to your old age, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you, and I will carry you.” You never get too old for God to carry you. The fact is, God is carrying you right now, but if you don’t recognize it, you’ll live stressed out. You’re in your Father’s arms.

Your will is going to override how you feel. A mark of maturity is when you can be happy even when things aren’t going your way, when your joy is not based on your circumstances.

How much more will you accomplish if you’ll evict the unworthiness? What could you become if you’ll evict the not qualified thoughts, not talented enough? Your mind is valuable real estate. It’s time to send the eviction notice.

David said in Psalm 68, “Praise the Lord our God. Each day, He carries us in His arms.” You may face situations that seem too much, but God is saying, “Don’t worry; I will carry you.”

When you’re in a difficult situation in your health, finances, relationship, you can be sure worry will come knocking at the door—panic and fear. If you let fear in, you’ll give a place to the enemy. Keep the door closed. You need to fill your mind with faith and hope.

The enemy is not going to let you move forward without opposition. His main battlefield is the mind. He’ll whisper lies, hoping that you’ll take the bait and start dwelling on them. Say, “No thanks. You’re not welcome here. I know who I am. I am strong in the Lord.”

You have to be willing to accept the new things God is going to do. His dream for your life is much bigger than your own. Where God is going to take you, the doors He’s going to open, the people you’re going to meet, it’s going to be more than you ever imagined.

Before you were born, God not only chose you but He put a calling on your life. When you know you’re chosen, you’ll hold your head up high. You’ll live with confidence, not because of who you are but because of whose you are.

Saying yes is typically easier. It’s the path of least resistance, but if you don’t learn to say no, you will never get to your greater yesses. There’s power in no—no to compromise, no to distractions, no to temptation. Saying no takes discipline, as it requires not letting our emotions rule us.

When you do what’s difficult, there’s a grace that empowers you, a favor that enables you. It won’t be as hard as it looks. God will show up and breathe on your life.
