@CourtneyRCronin So on brand for him. After getting the game ball for the win against New Orleans last year, his comments about "not being good enough to be a head coach" really resonated with me. Such a stark difference in accountability between this staff and the 2 prior HCs.
@joseph_heneghan@brsully23@CourtneyRCronin As a 2nd round pick, totally on board with seeing his development but also think it's fair to question the approach. I also think they are stuck needing to give him and Booker reps while also waiting for guaranteed money for Grady and Dayo to expire. love the upside on Vandenberg
@joseph_heneghan@brsully23@CourtneyRCronin I agree on waiting before evaluating him especially given the slow start due to pre-existing injury. The concern though is that it is an unknown and there wasn't a lot of flashes to show that he would be a difference maker.
@brsully23@CourtneyRCronin She's talked about these players multiple times on multiple platforms. What did Dayo and Turner show you last year to make you optimistic? Booker improved but is it a big enough leap for you to be satisfied? Again I didn't find her reporting negative - just matter of fact
@brsully23@Ryan_Paramont@CourtneyRCronin@ESPNNFL Role of a reporter is to ask the questions that fans have. Even in this, she simply is stating the same concern we all had about pass rush last year and with no significant additions in FA/draft. Much of this is consequence of contract decisions made last season though.
@_NickWhalen Really appreciate this perspective. While C and TE weren't immediate needs, I can appreciate them addressing this with their guys for the long term instead of getting a rotational DL guy.
@SamMonsonNFL Can we mutually agree that there is some value but that the boards do not align with team needs and positional runs? Seeing Darnell Wright as a reach in '23 draft at 10 knowing that lesser OTs were taken at picks 11 and 14 seems to show some flaws in correlations
@Kirsten_Tanis1 This is why measuring reach on big boards are a waste of time. Wright was taken at 10 because Titans at 11 and Steelers at 14 were both in need of OT. You could say that Skoronski at 11 as OT was a reach, but his arms aren't long enough (and bc he's a very good guard). ๐
@BearsFanSteven@IrishBearsShow Forcing players on coordinators who don't fit scheme responsibilities doesn't seem like a productive use of draft resources
@PauloFBFerreira@WestSportsPT Admitting this after your snarky "great take bro" says a lot about you. You seem content investing time into trashing other people's takes despite knowing how ignorant you are. "Don't have time to scout" is a cop out for not taking 5 mins to pull up any report on the player.
@jacobinfante24@PFSN365 Here's a completely unlikely trade up scenario for Downs that cost a future 2nd (but was able to re-coop a 3rd). Pretty Mizzou heavy so was hoping to have a reason to share with you anyway.
@OleTimeHardball Sweetness was just built different. Reminds me of a college running back highlight reel where you know there's no shot they can do that in the pros.
