Based on this ruling we will likely see a minority majority district created that puts the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa & Spirit Lake Nation in the same leg district. This was proposed to the Redistricting Cmte in 2021 which I moved to be adopted. It was rejected by the Cmte.
The Spirit Lake Nation and the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians have won their Voting Rights Act case against North Dakota.
Federal Court orders ND Districts 9 and 15 redrawn by 12/22/23.

In ND, @GovDougBurgum signed into law a bill that banned teaching anything "relating to" CRT in K-12 public schools--one could argue the ambiguity of that phrase is a feature, not a bug, of the statute.
