tl;dr "Of course masks work. And no, they have almost zero harms. If you still object to them, that is your right. But be aware that that objection is based on ideology or comfort, not on the scientific merits of masking." https://t.co/KipemzaQ1M
As other unions debate what to do next in #onpoli#CUPE - this data is likely helpful.
65% to 70% of union members in Ontario support other unions walking off the job to protest with #CUPE workers

Here's a question: If their work is so important that you can't risk a potential strike of even a day; and you feel you have to invoke the notwithstanding clause - why are they being paid so little?
Just a thought. Have you thought about bargaining in good faith? Offering Cost of Living Adjustment, fair increases consistent with private sector wage increases? My sense is you have tried nothing and you are all out of ideas.
#GeneralStrike is brewing.
This Friday Nov 4th, there will be a province wide protest! LiUNA 3000 will stand by CUPE and education workers in solidarity. Click this link to locate the closest picket line to you! https://t.co/AuEgHY8qz5

Bill 28 is an attack on all workers. OPSEU/SEFPO education workers will be walking off the job on Friday in solidarity with CUPE colleagues, and their union will have their back. https://t.co/hi8osgkUFV #39KisNotEnough#EducationMatters#onted#onpoli#onlab
Going to take a vacation day Friday & spend it at the nearest @CUPEOntario picket line.
Everyone in Ontario needs to be clear: this is no longer about one set of labour negotiations.
This is about whether anyone's Charter Rights mean anything in this province anymore.

No need to rely on a leaked report - health care workers have been sounding this alarm for years - and especially the past few months. This is the worst I have seen in my 19 years in emergency medicine. So why is this happening? 1/
Ford gave Tory MPPs $16k raises this year.
But 25% of these workers use food banks. Their avg salary is $39k/yr.
If they strike, let’s back them up. If they defy back-to-work laws, let’s back them up.
It’s time for this Premier to get schooled. https://t.co/Mi5SlalTkm
Barely anyone ever sees anything I tweet so I'm doubtful about trying this. Here goes, nonetheless:
I'm creating a @fordnation privatization index listing all the public services Ford is privatizing. Ppl need to know. Can you add any egs. that you know? Here's a start ⤵️
Damn. Nice.
The @NDP has come a long way on supporting Palestinian human rights largely because of efforts from the grassroots membership.
Good to a political party finally take some leadership on the issue in Canada.
My message to Doug Ford is to "get it done" by stepping up and doing your job.
Ontario is facing multiple crises that your govt is failing to address. We cannot wait any longer. The time to act was yesterday. 1/

Another war on Gaza. More disproportionate violence. More disproportionate deaths, injuries and property destruction. More human misery. More silence from the West. The path to peace is through justice and human rights, which starts with ending the medieval blockade of Gaza.
Let me get this straight. Pelosi couldn't abandon trip to Taiwan because US would look weak. So now China responds with military strikes over Taiwan. And the US must respond or else...we look weak. Better not to start this idiotic + dangerous escalation in the first place.
Sorry but can we talk about the absolute stagnation of the federal @NDP?
Since 2015, the NDP has basically been polling consistently under 20% and has had little actual growth in seats or membership.
The strategy of watering down policies to appeal to Liberals hasn't worked.
Construction work: 23,475 vacancies or 6% of jobs. Wage settlement annual average: 4-7% through free collective bargaining.
Health care and social assistance work: 51,580 vacancies or 6.3% of jobs. Wage settlements: 1% due to @fordnation's Bill 124 wage cap.
Any educators teaching #OntEd Grade 7 Geography next year.
I just built an 80 slide introduction that should take your students to the first report card - I'll gladly share & it would be terrific to have our classes collaborate on the Infographic activity. #AuthenticAudience
