B.C.’s small businesses won’t have access to the province’s economic recovery funds until end of year due to the unnecessary early election called by John Horgan for purely opportunistic reasons. Keep in mind these funds were approved unanimously by MLAs back in March #bcpoli 👇🏻
Happy World Teachers Day to all of BC’s hard working teachers. This year, our teachers have stepped up and sacrificed their safety to educate our children. We cannot thank them enough for inspiring our future generations #WorldTeachersDay
.@Wilkinson4BC's announcement of a $1-billion seniors plan and a new Senior's Home Care Tax Credit will provide much-needed improvements to our long-term care facilities and help our seniors stay at home longer. Read more: https://t.co/wGwB3JQ9U0 #bcpoli#bcelxn2020
The BC Liberals will work to end tent cities in urban parks. Society's most vulnerable should not be left on the streets. We need to treat the medical causes of mental illness & addiction. We need prevention & recovery to get people well and make our communities safe once again.
You may be surprised when you receive your ballot package from Elections BC that the ballot is blank - no names displayed. That is because the ballots were mailed before nominations closed. Here is how you can fill out your ballot to vote for me.
Removing the #PST helps individuals and job creating businesses alike. We are proud to be eliminating this tax for one full year to help BC'S economy on the path to recovery.

A bold step - elimination of PST for 1 year will save avg family of 4 $1,700. Time to get thousands of unemployed British Columbians back into jobs, and get small biz back up on their feet. This is what a serious economic recovery plan looks like. #bcpoli https://t.co/IO6kLnjjw2
Thanks to @BT_Vancouver for having me on this morning for a great discussion about the future of our province. Looking forward to another positive day on the campaign trail. #BCpoli
A bit of a disconnect in the @jjhorgan event/message today. He and @BowinnMa attempting to explain the deep partisan divide and disconnect on health care b/w Liberals and NDP. Yet, it’s been the file on which everyone has cooperated for some time now, above and beyond COVID19.
Unbelievable. John Horgan is forcing an unnecessary election in the middle of a pandemic with COVID-19 cases rising. This instead of focusing on safety of our kids in schools, and health & well-being of British Columbians. A cynical, opportunistic and reckless move. #bcpoli
John Horgan called a snap election in the middle of a health & economic crisis - he is putting political interests ahead of people.
We should be focused on keeping British Columbians safe & employed & that is exactly what I'm going to do during this forced campaign. #bcpoli
Wow. John Horgan just said that the “safe operation of schools is not the responsibility of the premier.” Seriously? Parents are worried about their kids at school. John Horgan, you’re jeopardizing their safety by forcing an early election for purely opportunistic reasons #bcpoli
The increasing stories about shootings and home invasions here are telling us it’s time to get tougher on crime. People shouldn’t feel afraid to go outside or worry if someone is going to break in while they’re sleeping. We need to do better for our communities.
People across BC need help & expected a real recovery plan from @jjhorgan - instead they got a @bcndp election scheme filled with already announced money. Thousands of people are out of work & #SmallBiz are struggling to stay open & this is all they get? People deserve better.
Come on @jjhorgan this is getting ridiculous! Please end the flurry of pre-campaign announcements and press releases and tell British Columbians that you are going to an election, or not! Has anyone got a running total of the number of press releases in their inbox today?
