The very contours that make up the medium falling apart as the boundaries between people vanish; only returning when shinji realizes that it's the friction and differences between each of us that gives us shape, dreams and meaning. It is so visceral and cool
@Flats_OW But admittedly much of the design philosophy that made Overwatch so great has been lost to time, I think these are fair criticisms, Blizzard pioneered Overwatch with unapologetic character designs. Whoever’s designing these heroes are great but I fear they lack the charm it had
@ItsPhigs As if we haven’t seen Halo in 3rd Person before, whenever you ripped off a mounted turret. I don’t understand the emphasis on keeping this remake so 1:1. Why not innovate on a 25 year old game. The original experience is always there. It’s graphics were that of the time.
And just how the fuck would that drastically change your experience, is sprints effects really that generalizable, because what’s been shown has been properly made to scale, i think some people will truly never be happy
I hated when people would view old COD as slop, associated with the same attitude sports games had. Don’t get me wrong, in recent years it was slop, but those “dude bro” games had so much wonderful narratives and art direction
Calling this the 'brown filter military slop era' was such a disservice to how good a lot of those games actually were. I feel embarrassed I bought into it and never played old CoD until like three years ago. Those 'chud dude bros' actually had some pretty goated games.
@TheIshikawaRin@Rinnegod Genuinely state what was so exclusive to Overwatch 1 that isn’t present of 2, the whole criticism of 2 is that it couldn’t differentiate itself from 1 😭😭 what is there to preserve, the foundation of the game is still there, i only miss the old blizzard team man, story, design
This is disingenuous, the designs of the characters are still there. The ability to have fun classic modes where hero kits revert back to what they once were. 6v6 competition queue feels like Overwatch all those years ago. Of course balancing and changes are going yo happen.
It’s insane that you literally cannot play the original Overwatch anymore, it is completely unpreserved in any form all because it got a pointless “sequel” that replaced it.
I haven’t played Overwatch since 2017, so knowing I can never again play a game I paid full price for is disconcerting.
@tuuu28283 Do any of you guys get offended when we use things like google translate to communicate. When I had visited I felt really bad about it. I tried my best to follow the countries customs, I hope people look out for that sort of thing in foreigners.
@enbanjin The funny thing is, there is no guilt from many pirates. Companies don’t play fair, so why should we? Also Japan is a very unique country and very unique ideals, you ought to keep an open mind.
no one can be happy with anything on the internet we are all miserable and suffering and everything sucks before its even shown or made or attempted everything is criticized, judged, and defaced, the efforts don’t matter, the outcome is predetermind, life sucks anyways…right?
He was unironically pushing the “Bloodborne is a viscerally feminine political girlboss game” shit like a year ago so this really fills me with a lot of confidence about how annoying and terrible this will be
I’m getting tired of this growing tumour in pop culture that is something being your favourite because it’s good on paper and not because it triggers a drive within you—puts a burning passion into your soul
Leave the art for the true dreamers and yearners.
This is too
doomer like only ONE studio has had its hands in Halo, honestly Arrowhead Studios seemed to be the closest ones of respecting classic Halo with the ODST dlc
People need to accept that- for a wide variety of creative, structural, logistical, historical, cultural, environmental and interpersonal reasons- it is not possible for a good Halo game to be made ever again.
