When the weather app says “chance of rain” then minutes later a Severe Thunderstorm Warning is issued and it turns to this! A great example of why these notifications systems are needed.

“There are two things you can control in this world. How hard you work and how well you treat people …If people said I will work harder tomorrow than I did today and I’m going to be a better person than I was today, then the world would be a much better place.” -@charliekirk11
Regardless of anyone’s political views it’s tragic to see the tragic moments in Utah yesterday.
As a young reporter years ago and just a few years into @charliekirk11 ’s career as a political commentator he was kind enough to take a few minutes to interview with me and said:
Today, April 2, marks a major milestone for Idaho Falls as the bowl is placed atop our new water tower!
Watch this exciting moment unfold in our timelapse video.

🕒 It’s Daylight Savings! 🕒
When you change your clocks, don’t forget to check your smoke alarms too!
✅ Test the alarm
🔋 Replace the batteries
📅 Check the manufacture date — if it’s over 10 years old, it’s time for a new one

❄️Snowplow Safety Tips ❄️
✅ Slow down and make room. The safest place is behind the plow, not in front or beside.
✅ Never pass a snowplow. plows have blind spots, and it’s dangerous.
✅Give them space! Snowplows are wider than most vehicles

Why do you love Idaho Falls? ❤️
Today at the 2025 State of the City address we heard why several members of the community and officials at the City of Idaho Falls love to call this place home!

As we continue to see winter driving conditions remember sudden braking on wintery roads = trouble!
✅ Slow down early.
✅ Tap the brakes gently to avoid skidding. Controlled braking helps prevent rear-end collisions.
Drive smart, arrive safe. #WinterSafety#IdahoFalls
As you change your clocks don’t forget to change your batteries! ⏰🔋
As Daylight Savings Time ends tonight – remember working alarms save lives – take a few minutes this evening to test and replace batteries. Stay safe Idaho Falls!

Had a great time with @IdahoFallsFire Recruit Academy 24-02 as they learned Rope Rescue Ops. Thanks for letting me hop in on a repel! These new firefighters will do great things when they go on shift in a couple of weeks. #PIO#IdahoFalls
Idaho Falls Power is pleased to announce it is negotiating a power purchase agreement with @AaloAtomics, a nuclear engineering company pioneering small-scale, factory-built modular reactors for clean energy production.

Aalo has signed an MOU with Idaho Falls Power, the local utility in Idaho Falls!
This MOU is a first step towards a PPA, for a fleet of seven Aalo-1 reactors to provide 75 MW of clean, baseload power for the region.
This is especially meaningful, because nuclear energy got its start in this region, with Idaho National Lab and the original set of experimental reactors that were built there 70 years ago.
We’re on the verge of a Second Atomic Age globally, and it’s fitting that one of the first new deployments of non-water based nuclear technology could happen right where it all began.
Bear Prairie, GM of IFP:
“Aalo’s innovative approach to advanced nuclear with no emissions appears to have the right risk and economics for our utility to take this next step.”
Rebecca Casper, Mayor of Idaho Falls:
“A partnership with Aalo whereby we provide space for modeling and development at our Energy Research Park while [Aalo] develops and proves its technology at INL just makes sense.”

Cc @AaloAtomics, and shout out to Richard Williams, @yasir_fission, and the whole team for achieving this milestone.
Have only had the morning session so far but ready for some more great FEMA PIO training. A big thank you to Canyon County who for what I am told has brought this course to the Gem State for the first time in a decade. #PIO#ContinuingEducation
