On World Hunger Day, we are reminded that hunger isn’t always about empty plates - it’s also about missing nutrition, dignity, and opportunity.

That’s why Solid’Africa is building public nutrition infrastructure in Rwanda - a collaborative effort between government, partners, local farmers, and communities - connecting climate-smart agriculture and clean energy kitchens to ensure every meal nourishes both body and mind.

Every day, 1,800 patients and 30,000 students receive meals that heal, fuel learning, and preserve dignity. Because hunger is more than missing food - it’s missing nutrition.

Earlier today, we had the honour of welcoming the Strategy & Policy Council from @UrugwiroVillage to Solid’Africa.

They explored our Farm-to-Plate model and the full scope of our nutrition infrastructure.

From production at our Rugende farm to meal preparation at our Rusororo industrial kitchen, which produces up to 23,000 meals daily for patients and students across Kigali,

This visit highlighted our integrated system designed to strengthen nutrition security, support local supply chains, and advance our ongoing partnership with the Government of Rwanda.
