Nipsey Hussle receives another posthumous honor, as the Los Angeles intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue will soon be named Nipsey Hussle Square.
The sign dedication ceremony will take place on Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. PST. Nipsey's brother Blacc Sam will be in attendance, as well as L.A. City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson, Councilwoman Heather Hutt and California State Assemblyman Isaac Bryan.
"The ceremony will commemorate Nipsey Hussle’s cultural influence, entrepreneurial vision, and lasting contributions to the Crenshaw community," a press release for the event reads.
The intersection is the location of Nipsey's former Marathon Clothing store, which now serves as the headquarters for the Neighborhood Nip Foundation.
Nipsey was born and raised in South Los Angeles, which was often the topic of his raps. He was shot and killed in front of his Marathon Clothing store in March of 2019. In 2022, Nipsey received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
