FWIW, I think I have UVA's path figured out. Two main scenarios where they end up in a 3-way tie.

Scenario 1 - UVA/Pitt/SMU tie - common opponents - Stanford and Louisville. We went 2-0, Pitt 1-1, SMU 2-0. UVA versus SMU in the final.

...in order of finish, but they both lost to Wake, so they tie on that too. So it goes to combined win % of their conference opponents. In this scenario, UVA's opponents are 21-27, and SMU’s are 21-31. Assuming both teams win out it’d be 21-28 and 21-33, so...
