@noxbhabha@weymarplanet Tusker batters not named Sean Williams have struggled in international cricket for a decade now, more than any other franchises.
Suceeding with bat at Tuskers means you are forced to play a certain way. They then find it the hardest to shift gear into international cricket.
@weymarplanet These players do not pick themselves. What is the point of putting a target on their backs?
They are talented cricketers who are failed by a system.
Musadaro vanhu kicking them when they are already down.
@nhamo_c@weymarplanet@FrankMawoza1 I don't agree with singling out players, who aren't even at fault, these lads are underdeveloped for international cricket, simple.
Select on merit is not just looking at leaderboard. Ndokutadza cricket ikoko. Dai vaidaro Jono Campbell dai atopindao muteam but haamo.
@briangoredema Over the past year, he has also been treated as a T20I exclusive player.
Technique falls out of the way when you have pressure to whack everything.
@noxbhabha@ZimCricketv Calling it now. The India T20 squad.
Innocent Kaia, in for Myers, and probably straight into the 11.
Wes for either Tashinga or injured Nyamhuri, straight into the playing 11.
Madande will be there.
Curran will only play India if he plays 3rd T20I and do well.
@ArthurJONZmandi I edited my statement and made it absolutely worse.
It was supposed to be about how Burl can do something more consistently than Marumani but not as much as Raza and Bennett.
I just refuse to put Marumani in the specialist outfielders camp.
Our T20I blueprint is the same.
Bennett and Raza have to make the runs. Burl and Marumani, with no consistency especially on the part, can do something.
Then the bowlers win us the game.
The other 3-4 players are just THERE.
Personally I blame the silly Domestic T20 system.
@Mar0ney Bennett would not have had as good a T20 World Cup without those Marumani's quick starts.
There were times when Bennett was on 9 from 17 balls yet our RR was still up. He took all the pressure off Bennett.
Marumani is flawed but redeemable and workable.
@kwirirayi@ZimCricketv We have a T20I blueprint.
Bowl well, field well.
Raza, Bennett make bulk of the runs, Burl and Marumani chip in but with no consistency.
The players X fans will crucify are not really at fault, they are just underprepared for internationals.
@Merovaeous This graphic is either using T20I rankings or maybe outdated ODI rankings.
At the moment Ireland are below Zim.
Either way the ODI World Cup format sucks, it's simple designed to weed out associates and give certain teams more matches.
@Covfefe_ism@DanielSson85 I know, hence I said he has 'potential.' I mean Marumani is one of the top scorers in domestic cricket since his debut. He hasn't delivered on international cricket yet.
Who is a better keeper/batter than Maru in Domectic white ball cricket now. NOBODY they all suck.
@ncakos316 Zimbabwe Cricket and Planning, are antonyms.
I think the elders will play the World Cup and then the youngers take over.
ZC should then be loading the Zimbabwe A calender. But when Zim A do play, you will find guys in their 30s who have 0 international hope there. Wierd!
