The Kubernetes community is gearing up for the v1.34 release, scheduled for August 27, 2025!

This release promises significant enhancements that will boost scalability, security, and resource management.

🔹 Dynamic Resource Allocation (DRA) goes GA!
DRA, which provides a powerful API for device management, is expected to become generally available. This means easier and more flexible device requests for workloads, improving cluster efficiency. Features like partitionable devices and device taints are moving from alpha to beta, enhancing workload scheduling and resource utilization.

🔹 Improved Scheduler Efficiency
The scheduler will now better handle pods that request more resources than any node can provide, avoiding unnecessary retries and improving overall cluster performance. This includes the new QueueingHint functionality to optimize pod requeueing.

May 19: Release cycle started
June 12: Production Readiness Freeze
July 25: Code Freeze

I started my first business in 2007 and lost it in 2013. The biggest challenge I had was getting quality software engineers to bring my ideas to life. I couldn’t succeed.

I tried so many people then, especially Nigerians and Indians but I couldn’t get a good software team that could bring my ideas to life. The fair ones were too expensive for me to afford then, because I had very little money.

Starting educare in 2014, I knew the most important thing I needed to solve was quality engineering and software support. I had a lot more funds then which helped us attract and retain top quality engineers that are still with us today.

This is why my company ships the best products. We have one of the best engineering team in the industry.

It made me realize that the quality of engineers can make or break any tech enabled business. They are the core determinant for success or failure. You can’t compromise it. Top quality software engineers are very hard to find in Nigeria.

One top quality engineer is way better than 200 mid level engineers. This is the exact same reason why many of our banks today are struggling.

Give teachers and kids a chance. Mobilise teachers, show them how to use the gadgets, show them how to browse the net for teaching materials, help them as much as you can with some advance research (https://t.co/UdPGcT9NfH has the entire curriculum for primary and secondary online). Help them have hope that the job they are doing is valuable and respected, that someone (you) at least understands how to help them become better in what they do.
Encourage teachers to teach kids how to use computers. Uganda depends on us.
