The news has just been confirmed: the largest quantum computing center in southern Europe is landing in Barcelona. With a 92 million euro investment led by the British company OQC (Oxford Quantum Circuits), the city becomes the European epicenter for the manufacturing and development of the next generation of quantum computers.

As CTO of QRYPTA, I celebrate with deep satisfaction this technical milestone that we have just consolidated in the mainnet of BNB Chain.
We have made what until recently was only a roadmap a reality: the first productive implementation of post-quantum firms NIST FIPS 204 (ML-DSA-44) into a high-performance chain, without compromising either usability or gas cost.
By moving the heavy verification of 2,420-byte signatures off-chain using the zkVM SP1 from Succinct Labs and compressing the entire result into Groth16 tests of less than 300 bytes, we solved the root of the main obstacle that prevented the massive adoption of post-quantum cryptography: the transaction bloat.
CertiK’s complete audit and in-circuit verification of firms within the zk circuit give us the necessary confidence to affirm that this is not a proof of concept, but a ready-to-use production solution for the entire ecosystem.
This advance not only protects BNB Chain against the quantum threat that is no longer futuristic, but sets a new technical and economic standard for any chain that aspires to remain safe in the next decade.
