Double overtime.. 42 points in 56 minutes..
Larry Bird left everything on the floor in Game 4 against Milwaukee in 1987..
Some playoff performances are great. Others become legend..
If I had to put a Mount Rushmore of #Illini players I loved to watch in my lifetime the first three are easy:
1. Kenny Battle
2. Nick Anderson
3. Deron Williams
Who at #4? Kendall Gill, Kiwane Garris, Dee Brown, Andy Kaufmann, Keaton Wagler, Ayo, Kofi and Frankie Williams
@CBBonFOX One possession games…..when you have been up Double Digits!!!!!! It isn’t the execution in one possession games alone……too many games that should never have been one possession games.
@wischlist You hit the nail on the head…..we heard him whine last year too….try to act “Happy” that your team got a much needed BIG win against Purdue….not a good example he is setting for his team….
@WesReynolds1 It is ridiculous not to try to bracket the tournament and the way they are crowning a “champion” but for a team like Iowa State who got wins over St Johns and Creighton already…..the reward for them is padding their NCAA tournament resume.
