@WilliamHungOmi@DaneMooreNBA Ohhh, so everyone is playing a "what-if" game and awarding themselves a victory over one of the most respected GMs in the league. Got it
@SpinalTapenaude@DaneMooreNBA Oh, so you knew that a guy who was turning in 25 pts and 10 rebounds a night would turn into an 18 and 6 guy? You knew he was going to essentially be a no-show in the playoffs? Share your crystal ball if you got it
@Renrut3112385@DaneMooreNBA Who said we could even move Rudy? His contract is massive and he is old. You're dreaming of scenarios that weren't possible
Cannot believe how much “this is a bad trade” I’m seeing.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion — and it certainly isn’t good to have chose Julius Randle over Nickeil Alexander-Walker last summer — but for me personally, I’ve been calling it the dream scenario for the Wolves to be able to painlessly dump Randle’s salary.
Moving back 5 spots in the draft to get off $33M of money you no longer want is better than I thought it was going to be.
I think the proliferation of screenshots of Randle + DiVincenzo for Kyrie Irving or Ja Morant kind of warped the view of what Randle can fetch.
The theme of the Wolves exit interviews was “we need to get rid of our moodiness” and DiVincenzo has a torn achilles. I think the value of Randle + DiVincenzo was proven to be wildly exaggerated by the internet.
@OldTimeHockey_@DaneMooreNBA I just mean that you immediately went to a negative take rather than embracing the possibilities and imagining ways to get this team over the edge. They didn't have any chance to get any better without moving someone.
@RyanKirkley@esidery@JonKrawczynski Wait, the same dudes put the first lineup that you referred to? You've got Golden Age Fallacy going on. That team was also frustrating at the time... But it was the franchise's first success in forever so it felt great. Now we're a little stagnant and you're ready to burn it down
@CamPorterJr@esidery@JonKrawczynski Regardless of the trade being talked about here, you're saying "Connelly sucks at trades."
Do you think that's a generally accepted mindset, or are you maybe in the minority?
I'll grant you the occasional overpay, but as far as GMs go, the guy has a pretty solid track record.
What’s going to get overshadowed is that KAT was their best player from the beginning of the playoffs until Game 3 of the Finals. He deserves so much credit for how dominant that winning streak was
@ChristopherHine Text him for us, Chris. Tell him we love him and who he is and what he's done. They got him in their jersey, but he's always our dog... Our Wolf.
