They didn't say of the teams that say New York as it stands for in the teams names, they said New York which interprets it as state because THEY posted it, not you. Thus their usage of New York is the state.

It was a privilege to be a small part in these monumental events for this city I've grown up calling home, as I had the honor of designing not one, but two World Championship logos this year with Utica as the host city.

@sportslogosnet Yes, but my second favorite teams usually tend to have more to do with their branding than appreciation for the team as whole.

@ItsPaulNeumann @sportslogosnet Those logos you are referring to were also just merely recoloring of the original "retro" logo. This logo featured here is much more updated: Thicker, more modern lines. Different shading. But also, most notably, eyes. This is the first one that is truly a NEW logo.
