@EliseStefanik Duly elected members of Congress who can’t follow their own rules of order. FFA clubs in high schools know how behave in a meeting ... maybe you should stop with the stunts and address the substance of what’s being discussed
@mjs_DC I don’t know what the horseshoe theory is...but I draw a link between the clarity of prose, directness of theses, and human-centric themes of Pete’s communications about his policy positions and these “meaningless” eruditions
@mjs_DC @BenMathisLilley @Slate I would have led with quoting his Yale roommate and then, “given your angry and belligerent opening statement, I have to ask Judge, have you been drinking today?”
@arlenparsa He got away with not answering the question. He answered the question that he doesn’t have a drinking problem. Also: people with drinking problems are defensive when questioned about drinking
@pescami Being charitable , I’d recall the 2012 election and how he responded to the “He’s an Arab” lady at the Republican “town hall.” A key no vote in an ACA repeal. Leadership and maverickiness, I share your skepticism
This is Cooper. He decided to go back to school later in life. Just graduated with his dogtorate. Never too old to fur-ther your education. 13/10 #SeniorPupSaturday
@mashagessen@AnandWrites I am listening to your interview with Anand Giridharadas, and you got the alcohol study and government funding story wrong (it was the NIAAA, which is part of the NIH, part of HHS, not CDC). I think u should get it correct. It's nuanced. Scientists care.
@AnandWrites I am listening to your interview with Masha Gessen, and you got the alcohol study and government funding story wrong (it was the NIAAA, which is part of the NIH, part of HHS ... not CDC). I think you should get it correct before you use it as an example again.
This is Jacob. In June of 2016, he comforted those affected by the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando. Four months ago he flew to Vegas to help families of 58 people grieve. Today, he is in Parkland, Florida hugging students who lost classmates yesterday. He is our third 15/10
