@KinaMagica Well, Nixon still had about the same approval rating after his resignation, and that was after the Watergate investigation. There will always be people unmoved by facts.

@Variety I think I was already somewhat familiar with his name, but really saw his awful and misogynistic personality come out when he got into a war of words with OโDonnell. I wasnโt her biggest fan at the time, as she was also a bit of an instigator, but he was a total POS.
@ImBreckWorsham supporting Nixon were absolutely nuts? Probably. But, I suspect if a Democrat were ever in a similar situation that the same might be said of die-hard Dems who would support their candidate to the end.
@ImBreckWorsham I always point out that Nixon had about a 30% approval rating after he resigned, despite his obvious crimes. It seems a third of the country will be pretty much immovable. Or at least Republicans. You do have to wonder what it takes. Did 70% of Americans think that 30% still 1/2
