"The new budget allocates 51% of our National Cooperative Program Budget to the International Mission Board. These two changes will shift more than $2 million in new funding to the International Mission Board beginning in October 2026." - Dr. Iorg #sbc26#sbc2026
Watching the SBC Annual Meeting from here in Jinja, UG.
While I appreciate all the seminary reports, I’m always especially happy to hear the SEBTS report.
23 years went fast under the leadership of Dr. Akin. Excited about the future with Dr. Pace.
63 new missionaries were celebrated today at #SBC26.
The gospel changed their lives. Now they’re going so others can hear.
They don’t go alone. Their churches send them. Southern Baptists support them.
🙏 Join us in praying for these newly appointed missionaries as they prepare to go.
Man, this is beautiful. A life adorning the gospel.
Listen to what @StevenBartlett—host of one of the world’s most popular podcasts—says to Christian apologist John Lennox.
OK, this is not Artificial Intelligence. It’s real. I had the great opportunity today of preaching at @SEBTS to honor my brother and dear friend Danny Akin on his retirement. He is such a cherished brother and friend. Here is the video when I was introduced.
“I wish at [my player’s] age, I would’ve gone much deeper into a relationship with Jesus Christ… To me, the most important thing is to God with all my heart, soul, & mind.”

As you pray for America’s soldiers in harm’s way, I urge you to also pray for our Southern Baptist missionaries, for national believers, and for the lost who so desperately need the Lord.
I’m grateful to God that we can confirm our missionary families are currently unharmed.
Sin isn’t a “surprise”,
if you’re chasing it.
Sin isn’t a “struggle”,
if you're planning it.
Sin isn’t a “mistake”,
if you’re choosing it.
Grace isn’t a license.
Mercy isn’t permission.
Love isn’t blind.
God won’t be mocked. Take holiness seriously, because He does.
So much of the Christian life is returning to this simple reality: Jesus genuinely loves us, and will forgive us as we keep stumbling our way forward with Him.
