@thealfordplea@NeilShenvi Ah, I gotcha. Yeah, there may be a handful. But I think the amendment and the Rice election addresses the vast swath of Baptists and their concerns, rather than the lunatic fringe.
@thealfordplea@NeilShenvi It will have been made clear in the BfM, resolutions, AND an Amendment. Sure, there will still be a few attempts to skirt it—but fewer than previously. And the convention will no longer have to legally fear disfellowshiping those churches. You have to propose what you can pass

@NeilShenvi Still being tabulated, so the results haven’t been announced yet. Could be any minute. The final wording was as Mohler proposed it. It didn’t change from his “revised” version from a week or two ago.

And @albertmohler’s Truth and Unity Amendment will be voted on tomorrow. The support in the hall is very visible. This is shaping up to be a very consequential SBC annual meeting. #SBC26
