This article is about SACRED COWS, the Joe Eszterhas political satire script from the 90’s that Steven Spielberg nearly directed: https://t.co/r4wbpwrnFW
We also had the honor of interviewing the legendary Joe Eszterhas recently and just posted an in-depth article about his infamous unproduced script, SACRED COWS. Link below in comments.

Joe Eszterhas is a Hollywood legend. In the 1990’s he was the highest paid writer in film, and created all time classics like “Basic Instinct.”
He lived through an insane coke and booze fueled ride of a life, and came out on the other end with some amazing stories.
We talked about his beginnings in journalism, and the time he spent with Hunter S Thompson, Jimi Hendrix, and Martin Luther King Jr.
He’s a brilliant and captivating guy and I really enjoyed our conversation. The podcast is available now on @spotify and everywhere else.
@joerogan Joe Eszterhas is indeed a legend and the GOAT. We recently interviewed him about an infamous unproduced script he wrote in the 90’s, SACRED COWS, that Spielberg nearly directed. You can check that out here: https://t.co/r4wbpwrnFW
SACRED COWS is one of the great unproduced screenplays - the Joe Eszterhas script that Spielberg and Kubrick called the funniest they ever read but nobody would touch. We're honoured to be asked to contribute to this deep dive, with the man himself.

@TheCinesthetic The Last American Virgin is a different kind of bleak but still hits. Always respected the filmmakers for having the guts to do this ending, especially in an 80’s comedy: https://t.co/TCAk23eZ3G
@RBwalksintoabar Hi Richard- Over the past year, I’ve unsubscribed from the Stage 32 email list too many times to count and continue to get 10+ emails every day. I’ve also emailed you and your team with no response. Can you or someone at the @Stage32 team please help?
#BenAffleck says film crews deserve to be paid “the decent middle wage that’s been provided for decades in this country” — which is why he and #MattDamon struck a first-of-its-kind deal with #Netflix on their new movie “The Rip” where all 1,200 cast and crew members could receive a back-end bonus if the film succeeds.
“There’s no guarantee that everyone’s going to get rich and be successful, but if you work on a project and it is successful, you ought to benefit from that,” Affleck told Variety on Tuesday night at “The Rip” worldwide premiere in New York.
Most streaming projects pay workers a flat fee upfront, ditching the old model where cast and crew could earn more when a project became a hit.
A hella thicc log stumbles into a Christmas odyssey while trying to escape his fate of burning in a fireplace for a Netflix special.
Read it in profile & comments 🎄🎥
What started off as a dumb joke poking fun at log burning Xmas content has now snowballed into something grotesquely cute and fun… just like Xmas itself!
Writing this with @AshLazerWrites and @sambwrite has been sooo much fun; hopefully it brings you joy too! Link in my bio 😘
